چکیده

Abstract Civic education in the United States is inequitable across racial and socioeconomic lines. At same time, social media can maintain or disrupt oppressive power structures. This chapter discusses how, a study of teachers using Twitter for civic education, most wanted to use with their students unjust systems communities. Although were not yet as successful changing these unequitable they would have hoped, this presents potential challenge those systems. Students who are further marginalized vulnerable find community connection via media, serve tool participation activism which promotes individual thriving. also how support justice-oriented participation.
